The humble skull has been a perennial favourite of the fashion industry for some time now. Or actually, maybe it was in 2003 after the first Pirates of the Caribbean film came out and everyone went mad for all things piratey and skull and crossbones appeared on everything until the market was saturated in it and everyone got fed up (Thanks a lot Phillip Green).
